GameDay #35 vs. Braves

Braves (18-15) at Pirates (15-19)
7:05--PNC Park, Pittsburgh
Tom Glavine (0-1, 4.50) vs. Ian Snell (2-2, 5.09)
[GameTrax]
-------------
If these teams and this pitching matchup don't bring back some sort of memory, well.....
MY [OPENING DAY LIVEBLOG]
Sure, it was crazy. Sure, I made a bigger deal out of it than it really was. But, man, have we had two memorable openers in a row these last two years or what?
-------
Glavine still doesn't have a win. He's not pitching horribly but isn't the same guy. If you recall, the Pirates did a nice job staying patient with him on Opening Day, but pretty much scored due to lucky Braves errors.
-----
Snell has been bad lately. He gave up 4 runs in 6 innings in the opener. Time for him to get back on track, while we're still hot.
-
Speaking of hot, Atlanta has won 6 in a row. All of those were at home, though, and the Bravos are just 4-11 on the road. The Pirates are 9-7 at home.
---------
There won't be any crowd tonight, despite a Stargell bobblehead.
Pens-Flyers Game 1 at 7.
Both that game and the Pirates will be televised here in Pittsburgh. Yay.
---------
Go Buccos

  1. Pirates get off to a slow start then turn it on and win. And by the way there will be a crowed though there is a pens game. Last time there were both on friday the stadium was still filled.
