Apparently the Bucs are getting Jeff Karstens and Daniel McCutchen (also both RH pitchers) in the deal instead of Coke and Kontos. It's still not confirmed, but it's being reported [here], and I just saw it reported on ESPNEWS.

These guys are both older than the ones they replace, but both have had more success in AAA than the original two had in AA.

This certainly makes the trade a little less bitter. Now the Pirates will be able to save face and perhaps carry over a little respect from other GM when making future deals. These aren't the Littlefield Pirates anymore. Take it to them Neil. I just wonder what the trigger was to rework the deal.
