You know, the fact that our 1 and 2 starters are looking like automatic losses at this point is not a good thing. Duke, Maholm, and Dumatrait have been solid, but to go over .500 for a five game stretch, we need all three of those guys to pitch well. Unlikely.

Today, the culprit was Ian Snell. Once again, it was one pretty bad inning that made up most of the damage. In the 2nd, it went: single, walk, single, single, groundout, single. Bucs down 5-1.

That was pretty much it. Braden Looper was good enough--Jose Bautista had a good day but that was about all. Nate McLouth was hit by 2 pitches. Nady had 2 hits--and should have had more were it not for some fine Cardinal defense.
